FAQ about the closure of the Home Connect Plus service

Home Connect Plus was successful in building up a user-centric smart home solution with many registered users and device partners. However, considering the challenging economic market situation, it has been decided not to continue with the investment in Home Connect Plus.

Home Connect Plus users can continue to use Home Connect Plus app and service until 30.06.2023.

As of 01.07.2023 Home Connect Plus app and service are no longer available.

Partner devices linked to user’s Home Connect Plus app can be used with the device partner app, too.

We will make available a new release of Home Connect Plus app by 01.06.2023 that allows you to download data you provided or created by using Home Connect Plus service. This data may include personal data (e.g., email address, country of residence), list of connected devices, list of rooms, automations & recipes. The data download will be available only until 30.06.2023.

We will provide the possibility to download your data, including automations and recipes, as described in the question above. However, we would like to point out that Home Connect Plus automations are specific for Home Connect Plus app and cannot be used by another smart home app.

No. Home Connect is a separate offering from Home Connect GmbH and the Home Connect app will be fully available. Home Connect connects various brands of home appliances in one app and offers in addition many compatible partner services. Home Connect is available for the home appliance brands Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau, Neff, Solitaire, Thermador, Balay, Constructa, Pitsos and Profilo.
